Himalayan Ecological Research Institute for Training and Grass Roots Enhancement is organizing a photo competition .The contest is free and open to all and is aimed at re-discovering the different faces of Uttarakhand; be it Rural and Tribal Women, Folk Culture and Costumes, Rural Livelihood, Nature, Wildlife and Pilgrimage Centres .The theme of the contest is “Depiction of Everyday Life in Himalayas” and the submitted photos shall reflect this theme with a short write up (English/Hindi) defining the concept.
